Shipping & Delivery
Each piece of jewellery is made, checked, and packed with great care. Once your order is complete, it is gently wrapped and prepared for its journey to you. Please read the information below carefully to ensure you select the most appropriate shipping option for your piece.
UK Shipping Options
There are several postage options available at checkout, allowing you to choose the level of cover that feels right for you.
Royal Mail has recently updated their Tracked 24 service, which is now insured up to £75 only. While this service has proven to be very reliable and I have had no issues to date, it’s important to understand its insurance limitations.
-
If your jewellery is valued above £75, I strongly recommend selecting Special Delivery at checkout. This ensures your jewellery is fully insured for its full value and offers the highest level of protection.
-
Choosing Tracked 24 for higher-value jewellery means the parcel will only be insured up to £75 in the unlikely event of loss or damage.
International Shipping
For destinations outside the UK, shipping costs are calculated based on your location.
At checkout, you will have the option to select DPD tracked shipping, which is insured up to the full value of your jewellery. This insurance is fully covered by Hayley, ensuring your piece is protected for its complete value throughout its journey.
Dispatch Times
Once your jewellery is finished or purchased from the ready to ship section, it is carefully inspected, packed by hand, and dispatched within 3 working days. You will receive tracking details as soon as your parcel is on its way.
Made-to-Order & Returns Policy
The majority of my pieces are hand-crafted to order, including items listed as “in stock” at any given time. Bespoke and custom jewellery is created specifically to your unique requirements.
Because of this:
Returns are not accepted due to customer error, change of mind, or for custom-commissioned pieces.
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact me at info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk within 5 days of receiving your jewellery, and we can discuss a resolution together.
If a return is agreed upon, the item must be returned in its original, unworn condition within one month of the delivery date.
Repairs & Issues
If something arrives damaged or later breaks, please don’t worry we're always happy to help. Depending on the circumstances, I can offer a repair, replacement, or refund. Please email me at info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk so we can look after it together.
Customs & Import Duties (International Orders)
For customers ordering from outside the UK, please be aware that customs duties, taxes, or import fees may be applied by your country upon delivery. These charges are determined by local regulations and are not included in the purchase price or shipping costs.
I recommend checking with your local customs office before placing an order so there are no surprises when your jewellery arrives.
