Bespoke Jewellery: A Collaboration of Craftsmanship & Meaning

Welcome to a world of bespoke jewellery, where each piece is a unique reflection of nature’s beauty, your personal style, and the story you wish to tell. From my narrowboat studio, I use time-honoured techniques to craft organic, earthy, and sustainable jewellery. Each creation carrying a distinct character and completely one off.
Materials & Ethical Sourcing
Every piece is crafted with care and can be tailored to your preferences. I work with a range of precious metals, including silver and 9ct, 14ct, 18ct, 22ct, 24ct yellow or white gold, as well as platinum. If you have sentimental heirloom jewellery or gemstones, I can recycle and incorporate them into your new piece, preserving their history while giving them fresh life. Sustainability is at the heart of my practice, ensuring that every material used is ethically sourced.
The Bespoke Process
Commissioning a bespoke piece is a deeply personal journey, and I understand that it can feel overwhelming if you’re unsure where to begin. That’s where my expertise comes in. I guide you through each stage, ensuring the process is calm, enjoyable, and truly collaborative.
Our journey begins with an initial consultation, whether via email or, if you're local to my narrowboat’s location, an in-person meeting. We’ll explore your ideas, inspirations, and vision for the piece. I will guide you in selecting the perfect gemstone, sourcing a hand-picked collection from my trusted jewellers in Hatton Garden. Alongside this, I’ll provide insight into different metals, their durability, and how they align with your design and lifestyle needs.
From there, I refine the design, sharing imagery and videos that show your piece coming to life. We’ll work closely together, adjusting details until we are both completely happy with the final concept. Only then is the design cast into its final form.
Understanding Pricing
My bespoke base rate starts at £250, but the final cost of a piece depends on several factors, including the type and size of the gemstone, the chosen metal, and the overall weight and intricacy of the design. Precious gemstones generally have a higher price point than semi-precious stones, but factors such as carat, clarity, and rarity also influence their value.
I personally guide you through the gemstone selection process, helping you explore both different cuts and unique stones you may not have considered ensuring there are beautiful options to suit a range of budgets. Additional elements, such as extra gemstones or intricate detailing, will also impact the final price.
I also work with heirloom jewellery, carefully deconstructing existing pieces to reuse gemstones and melt down metals. This process involves a separate charge, as the metal must be weighed, refined, and reworked. Any unused metal can either be returned to you or offset against the cost of additional metal if more is required for your design.
Gold and platinum prices fluctuate with market value, which can also affect the final cost. If you have a specific budget in mind, I’m happy to advise on what can be created within it. I also offer payment plans, making it easier to invest in something truly special. If you'd like a rough guide on metal pricing, I'm more than happy to share further details.
