Investment & Pricing Philosophy
Bespoke jewellery is an investment in both craftsmanship and meaning. Each piece is created slowly by hand, using precious materials chosen for their beauty, quality and longevity.
My bespoke commissions generally begin from £1,500, reflecting simpler designs in lower carat gold with modest gemstone sizes. From there, commissions can range into the many thousands, depending on your chosen metal, gemstone carat weight and rarity, and the complexity of the design.
Gold prices fluctuate with the global market, so final pricing can vary over time — particularly when working with higher carat gold and larger or rarer gemstones. For this reason, quotations are valid for 14 days. After this period, I may need to provide a revised quotation to reflect current material costs.
While my bespoke practice primarily focuses on gold, I may also consider silver commissions where the scope of the piece allows for the same level of craftsmanship, detail and intention.
Payment options are available to make investing in a bespoke piece more manageable, including eligible 0% payment options through Klarna and PayPal. I can also work with a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due on completion before your finished piece is released.
When enquiring, please feel comfortable sharing your true investment range with me. My bespoke work isn't priced differently from person to person — pricing is guided by the materials, craftsmanship and complexity involved in creating your piece. Knowing your budget allows me to guide you towards the most suitable metals, gemstones and design possibilities while staying true to your vision.
Each bespoke piece is made to be worn, treasured and passed through generations — carrying its materials, craftsmanship and story with it.
Heirloom & Reworking
I'm always happy to explore the possibility of reworking heirloom jewellery, thoughtfully incorporating existing gemstones and precious metals into a new design where suitable.
However, remodelling heirloom jewellery doesn't always mean a lower cost. Working with older pieces carries additional responsibility, including careful deconstruction, assessing the condition of materials and taking extra precautions to protect sentimental gemstones. Additional labour, specialist work and insurance considerations may therefore be reflected in your quotation.
If incorporating your heirloom gold is particularly important to you, this is something we can absolutely explore. However, reusing existing gemstones isn't always possible or recommended. If I feel a stone's condition or quality could compromise the longevity of your new piece, I may suggest sourcing a new gemstone instead.
Every heirloom project is considered individually, with the greatest care taken to preserve its sentimental value while creating something beautiful and durable for years to come.

From my narrowboat studio, I use traditional jewellery-making techniques to create organic, earthy pieces shaped slowly and intentionally by hand. Every bespoke commission is individually created for its wearer — jewellery made to hold meaning, gather stories and be treasured for generations.
Materials & Responsible Sourcing
Every bespoke piece is created around you, from the metal and gemstones to the textures, proportions and finishing details.
I work with precious metals including silver and gold in a range of carats and colours, from 9ct through to 24ct, depending on the requirements of your piece. Yellow, white and rose gold are available, and I'm always happy to discuss the most suitable metal for your design, lifestyle and budget.
If you have sentimental heirloom jewellery or gemstones, I can also explore incorporating them into your new piece — preserving something of their history while transforming them into jewellery that can continue to be worn and loved.
Conscious sourcing is an important part of my practice. I work with trusted suppliers when sourcing precious metals and gemstones, with consideration given to provenance, longevity and responsible material choices wherever possible.
The Bespoke Process
Commissioning a bespoke piece is a deeply personal journey, and I want the experience to feel calm, collaborative and supported from the very beginning.
Our journey starts with an initial consultation, usually by email or, when practical and you're local to my narrowboat's current location, in person. We'll explore your ideas, intentions, personal style and the feeling you'd like your piece to hold.
I encourage you to share a small collection of inspiration. This might include gemstones, textures, natural forms, pieces from my previous work or simply imagery you're drawn to. It doesn't need to be a finished idea — part of my role is helping you uncover the direction your piece wants to take.
Choosing Your Gemstone
Gemstones are at the heart of much of my work. If you're unsure where to begin, I'll guide you through stones that complement your vision while considering their colour, cut, character and suitability for how you intend to wear your jewellery. Where it's meaningful to you, we can also explore the traditional symbolism and associations connected with different stones.
I source a small, hand-picked selection of gemstones from trusted suppliers, including suppliers in Hatton Garden, for you to consider. Once we've found the stone that feels right, it often becomes the starting point around which the rest of the piece evolves.
Developing Your Design
Rather than beginning with traditional drawn sketches, I design intuitively and three-dimensionally, considering proportion, balance, comfort and how the gemstone wants to be held.
Once the direction is established, I begin sculpting your design in wax. I'll share photographs and videos as it develops, giving you the opportunity to see your piece taking form and refine details such as band shape, proportions and my signature textures — from organic and raw to softer, smoother and water-inspired finishes.
Each bespoke commission includes up to three rounds of refinements. Additional refinements can be made at £50 per round, although most designs are finalised comfortably within the included stages.
Timescales
Every bespoke piece is different, so timescales vary depending on the complexity of the design, gemstone sourcing, hallmarking requirements and my current studio schedule.
Simpler designs may take approximately 3-6 weeks, while more intricate pieces or designs involving multiple gemstones can take 12+ weeks.
I'll discuss the likely timeframe with you during the early stages of your commission and provide an estimated timescale once the direction of your piece is established.
As a one-woman studio, I make each commission individually and give every piece the time, attention and craftsmanship it deserves.
